WE ARE IN DANGER OF LOSING A GENERATION OF PROGRESS
in research and treatments if we don't act.
THE CURRENT CHALLENGE
The Covid-19 pandemic has upended lives and plans. Jobs have been lost and families are struggling. Retirement savings have diminished. Businesses are closing.
The American Cancer Society is no exception. Projected revenue for the year has declined by one third.
Cancer.org/Coronavirus - Provides up to date evidence-based information for patients, survivors and caregivers from our Public Health Experts. We know this need is large as we have seen a 961% increase in clicks over the last month.
In addition, we are proud to share that the American Cancer Society has offered its Hope Lodge facilities across the country to healthcare partners, to provide respite for healthcare workers on the frontlines of the pandemic.
While the need continues to grow, so does the impact on our ability to continue our mission. At this time COVID-19 has forced all our fundraising events to be put on hold creating a devastating funding gap for the ACS and potentially compromising our ability to sustain our life saving mission.
